Dungeons

Full dungeons guide — classes, floors, progression, gear, and how to run efficiently.

What Are Dungeons?

Dungeons are SkyBlock's co-op endgame PvE content. You enter the Catacombs dungeon with up to 5 players, complete puzzles, fight minibosses, and kill a floor boss. Each floor has unique mechanics, gear drops, and a leaderboard for speed.

There are 7 Normal floors (F1–F7) and 7 Master Mode floors (M1–M7). Master Mode requires clearing F7 first and is significantly harder.

Dungeon Skill

Each dungeon run gives Catacombs XP toward your Dungeon Skill level. Higher Catacombs level is required for later floors (and Master Mode) and gives stat bonuses to your dungeon performance.

Catacombs requirement is a gate

You literally cannot enter a floor if you are below the Catacombs level requirement. Grind lower floors until you reach the threshold — there are no shortcuts.

Dungeon Classes

Each player picks a class before entering. Your class level scales your class bonus.

ClassRolePassive BonusBest For
ArcherDPSBow damageConsistent ranged DPS
BerserkMelee DPSSword damageAoE clear, strong single target
MageAbility DPSAbility damage + IntHyperion, Juju, Mage builds
HealerSupportHeal teammatesKeeping the party alive at high floors

Level all classes eventually

You can switch classes freely between runs. Leveling every class increases your class average which boosts overall dungeon stats. Running a second class occasionally while farming lower floors is efficient.

Dungeon Gear by Stage

Early Dungeons (F1–F3)

Use whatever you have — Hardened Diamond, Golem armor, basic swords. Focus on completing floors, not optimizing.

Mid Dungeons (F4–F5)

  • Armor: Strong Dragon → Shadow Assassin (F4 drop)
  • Weapon: Giant's Sword / Aspect of the End → Livid Dagger (F5 drop)
  • Pet: Lvl 100 Rare Tiger or Spider

Late Dungeons (F6–F7)

  • Armor: Necron's Armor (from F6/F7) — best in class
  • Weapon: Hyperion (Mage), Livid Dagger / Juju (Archer), Shadow Fury (Berserk)
  • Pet: Legendary Ender Dragon (Mage), Legendary Tiger (Berserk), Legendary Baby Yeti (Archer)

Master Mode (M1–M7)

  • Same gear as F7 but everything needs to be starred (☆) and enchanted to max
  • Healer becomes near-mandatory at M4+
  • Recommended: Golden Head for revives, full Necron starred, 600+ MP

Secrets — A Major Score Multiplier

Each floor has hidden secrets (chests, bats, items). Finding more secrets increases your score, which affects:

  • The quality of your chest roll at the end
  • Your S/S+ clear status (needed for best rewards)

Secrets tracker

The SkyHanni mod has a built-in secrets tracker that shows secret locations on your screen during runs. Use it to hit S+ score consistently.

Run Score Breakdown

Your end-of-floor score determines chest reward quality:

CategoryWeightHow to Maximize
Exploration60 ptsFind all rooms + secrets
Speed40 ptsFinish fast (sub 20min for S)
Skill40 ptsLow deaths + mob kill %
BonusvariesCrypts killed, treasure hunter

Catacombs XP Guide

To level up Catacombs fast:

  1. Run the highest floor you can complete reliably.
  2. S/S+ scores give more XP than D/C scores.
  3. Master Mode M1 gives significantly more XP per run than F7.
  4. Don't skip floors — each floor you clear unlocks the next permanently.
